The internet of things

The internet of things is “The concept of basically connecting any device with an off and on switch to the internet”. Technology has enabled us to do almost anything as we become more reliant and dependent on all types of technologies from google home devices, mobile phones, smart fridges and televisions. These devices may be seen as great additions to our daily lives but some people believe they are making us lazy and reliant while also weakening our communication skills.

For the weekly remediation, I have quoted Julian Bleecker’s text ‘Why things matter: A manifesto for networked objects’. This quote is in reference to our human role in managing and maintaining, or mismanaging and terrorizing the world in which we live.
